Protecting Creators' Rights

Music belongs to those who write and compose it. According to Article 6 of Monegasque Law No. 491 of November 24, 1948, on the « Protection of Literary and Artistic Property », no work intended for public performance, representation, or exhibition may be used, in whole or in part, without the author’s consent. Sacem is responsible for granting this authorization, collecting royalties, and distributing them to the creators it represents.

If you wish to use music for your event, such as:
- a concert or variety show
- a ball or dance event
- a meal, banquet, or tea dance
- a dinner-concert
- a dance gala
- a concert featuring symphonic, folk, or traditional music
- a musical or operetta
- a comedy show
